Most of either are self-inflicted, at least the ones on the front. the tattoo on his chest is a sun motive, he was born with the name of Rol, which is sun in ryl, and as a sith went by the name kai'rol (black sun, no relation to the crime syndicate). he never uses his birth name now. not that many people would call him by name anyway.

he has hardly any social contacts, and very few people ever heard him talk. or have seen his face, for that matter. almost all the time, even when he is alone, he wears his mask. he feels terribly exposed without it.
he looks sickly, but is in fact in perfect health and more agile than he seems. he looks older, he is in fact only 25. he's had a rough life, like most alien sith, which has not left him mentally and emotionally undamaged.

he is also a sith lord now, with zero ambition, it seems, to become anything more. shortly, he has chosen to serve zascha's apprentice, karyu. his reasons are his own, he has only ever discussed them with karyu himself, but not for very long. he now follows him as a silent and helpful right hand, and, one could say, close friend, and seems quite content, compared to before.
